John & Heather ~ Married

Gorgeous Bride. Handsome Groom. Amazing sunlight. Brisk Fall day. Wonderful wedding party. Loving family. Caring friends. Superb Planning. What more could one ask for?! John & Heather's wedding was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. right down to the little John Deere tractor keychains at the reception to match the John Deere cardbox (which doubles as a mailbox :)) and the cute little cupcakes that tasted really yummy. The gorgeous bridesmaids and the super awesome wedding party! Heather was all about pictures and that put me, Jen, and Amanda in photographer {heaven}.

Thank you two for letting us spend such a special day with you and to capture every last moment for you. It was truely wonderful and I hope you have a great honeymoon!

There's a pretty nice story behind this next photo, so if you know John or Heather, ask them. It all happened when one of the groomsmen .... well, just ask them :)

NEEDED -

Diana Ornes Photography, along with some other local talented photographers is doing a shoot this weekend, October 25th, and we need some girls, with dresses! (Wedding - Prom - Bridesmaid)

We will be start off at the Hixton forest in La Crosse, Wisconsin and then traveling downtown and ending up at Riverside Park. There is no cost for you to model, and in return for your very generous donation time and loveliness, you will get a disk (from each photographer shooting) of edited images you can add to your portfolio or just use for fun.

There is no restrictions on who can 'model' for us as long as you have a dress and are not afriad for the dress to get a tad bit soiled. The dress will not get any more soiled than laying on the ground with leaves and leaning up agains trees and buildings. But if you want to allow us to really trash it we have some awesome ideas for that too!

After we are done shooting we plan to go to dinner somewhere (pay your own of course) so if you wanted to join in you are more than welcome!

Brian & Shelly ~ Married

Another perfectly planned wedding, right down to every last detail. I am just amazed at how my weddings this year have been so well planned. Everywhere I look there is yet more details to make me swoon! Fall weddings also make me drool! I wish that every wedding had the amazing color that a fall wedding has. {Although summer weddings also hold a lot of color with the flowers.} Fall just brings this extra special color, one that holds the smell of crispness, the crunch of leaves and twigs (or soybeans!) beneath your feet. {{LOVE}}. Shelly and Brians wedding had everything from cow bells at the reception to wheat on the tables. The bridesmaid dresses were super flattering and looked amazing. Shelly's dress.... oh her dress!!! I wanted take it home! A streach hummer. John Deere Tractor. Some sort of SPCombine seat. So FUN!!! The wedding party was amazing, there was TONS of love from all of their family and friends... it was just an utterly amazing day! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it!

Giving Back this Holiday Season

With the economy the way it is and more and more families struggling to stay afloat Diana Ornes Photography would like to give back! You know someone who is struggling, someone with an unforseen medical condition, a family that works multiple jobs to keep food on the table, someone volunteering endlessly despite their own personal circumstances. Someone who cannot afford custom photography, but would cherish it this holiday season. Something to remind them of the ties that bind their family together, the love and kindness that they share.

Kevin & Kyrah ~ Engaged

Kevin and Kryah drove all the way to La Crosse to have their engagement pictures done (from Stevens Point) and I am so glad they did! Even though the colors are not at peak I am still really glad that fall is here (other than the unbelieveable coldness right now!) Because it means color is on its way! It turned out to be a perfect afternoon with just the right amount of cloud cover and sunlight. Downtown wasn't overly busy and the beach.... well it isn't July, so that was pretty much empty too, other than a few gulls that left some nice presents to be stepped in on the sand! I can't wait until your wedding, from the sounds of it everything will be perfect and well planned to a 'T'.

I just love engagment sessions and weddings, because love radiates from the couples. Gives me this warm cozy feeling inside and reminds me how lucky I am to have a wonderful husband at home.

Kvistad Family

Tonight I met with the Kvistad family and two of the cutest little dogs I have ever seen! (Well right beside my Shadow and Buddy that is, of course!) I am at a loss of where to take families right now as the leaves are not full color and there isn't much on the ground for color, but we headed to the bike trail after doing a couple studio shots. I was pretty happy with the yellows that were in the trees. Here is a couple for a sneak peek!

Anyone wanting fall family pictures, please contact me right away, as spots are filling up fast and we want to be able to keep some leaves on the trees so they don't look "dead". These next two weeks should be almost peak color, and after that there is the falling of leaves, and trees and foliage will start to look bland, so call me or email me right away to schedule your fall family session! I also do custom Holiday cards!

Hmm... something is wonky with my uploader and these are appearing not as bright and vibrant as they look during editing, I will look into this for you guys!

Jason & Emmalee: Married!

The rain surely didn't hold off any sort of warmth of Jasn & Emmalee's big day. From the small coziness of the church, the love shared between Jason, Emmalee and their families and the wonderful help of the wedding party and the cuuuute little flower girls and handsome little ring bearers..... I was glad to be a part of their wonderful day!

As a wedding photographer I surely feel blessed to be welcomed into a family, into such a wonderful event, and share the love, joy and happiness of a wedding. I may not know the family, may not know the guests, but I have been blessed, and this wedding surely was no different, to feel welcome and treated as a guest in such a wonderful time of someones life, the biggest day of their lives. I am thankful for that, and surely love what I do!

Thank you Jason & Emmalee, for the smallest insight into your life that you will share together, and allowing me the honor of shooting your wedding!

These M&M's were so awesome, I felt almost guilty eating them! Some of them had their picture on them, while others had their name on them!

This little girl was a guest at the wedding, and she was something else! I got a kick out of her most of the day, her cute little dress was to die for... I have to find something like this for my kids, it is a must! But during the dance she was just something else, and when she had a small flashlight and decided to help Jason find the garter I was worried I wasn't going to be able to see through the viewfinder with the tears of laughter I couldn't hold back.
